Batocera not working on laptop

Hi, I’m new here.
Recently i’ve installed Batocera 5.21 on an external HDD with games on it.
Booting on my desktop PC works fine, but once I boot on my laptop (Acer Aspire model 5560G), it becomes stuck perpetually on the loading screen with no way out.
What can I do to fix it?

Specs of laptop? Did you try pressing CTRL + ALT + F3?

For now, try to run some old batocera version, since 5.19 there's a lot of reported issues. Start with 5.18 and let us know.

By the way, is this a dual-gpu laptop?

AMD Quad-Core Processor A8-3520M
AMD Radeon HD 6620G GPU (yes, it runs dual graphics with another 7670M).

And BTW, how can I downgrade Batocera without losing any data? 5.20 worked fine, while 5.21 doesn't.

EDIT: Seems like Ctrl+Alt+F3 doesn't do anything if not on immediate boot.

One of the main rules, always install system and data (share folder) on different support.
Best to put the system on an usb Stick (you win nothing to have it on the hd)
And you have much less work if ever you must change or upgrade system. And your data
disk can be just a partition on your hd together with windows. And dual boot possibel just
from bios, as you have your systems on different devices. And understandable by both
as FAT32 or exFat and NTFS. FAT32 has limitation of 4GB files. What can be an obstacle with
big games. With NTFS, a parallel install with Windows alows you to control your partition
from time to time, as this mechanism is better supported in WIndows as in Unix.

Tried it with another USB flash drive on 5.18. It didn't boot at all.
Back to my HDD, I tried pressing CTRL+ALT+F3 and it stops at "lo IP Address ::1
