I have not received a negative feedback about the themes. The themes were liked by friends. did you check the themes? Is there any problem about the themes?
I want to provide benefits to batocera.

I haven't tested your themes yet.
I'm waiting to order my equipment, make a PC for retrogaming. An Intel NUC.
I could test them at that time.

Simplelight > simple theme looking good, but when you go inside the games list some descriptive of games are over the pictures (depends of the size of the picture)
es-theme-crt-master > great work everything is working fine.
Next Level v2.3 > working good too , great update !
Very good job on the missing logos ;-)

Dragu yes Alekfull put a lot of themes available but none of them are working on batocera...
the es-theme-zoid for exemple is working native without any modification.. i guess all the "es-theme-" something (emulation station) are coming from retropie ..

ottohlc It will be very benefit if you can upgrade the es-theme-zoid of course ;-)
in the recalbox community there is a theme who look a lot like this one maybe you can get inspired..

Just not possible as the conditions in the interface dont exist for the moment.

I downloaded Alekfull's themes, but none of them worked with batocera. The themes are very nice. There are .xml files in the theme folders.
if the .xml files are edited, the themes work. I could not solve this problem. We need to connect with Alekfull.

The problem is that in Recalbox the keyword types (vertical_wheel, carousel and so on) are compiled in /usr/bin/emulationstation. So, it could never work as Batocera miss this elements. It was the main work aside error corrections from Substring on Version 18/07/13. Beloved and still the best. 🙂

ottohlc forget about Alexfull's themes looolll i think batocera just need simple themes like "simplelight", "es-theme-zoid" or "es-theme-crt-master"..(all of those looking like retropie and why not after all ?!) and maybe on the next release we can have a default theme for batocera that not look like recalbox you know..
we are lucky that Next Level v2.3 is working too because the 3.2 release don't.. just saying my point of view..

Apart from the missing possibilities you have also no option to configurate a theme in Batocera, Background color, font colour and so on. So alot of restrictions.

Dragu yes batocera have some restrictions on things ..recalbox on others.. i hope in the next release there will be a possibility of changing more graphical options..

Next level Theme, it was Gaetan that created it, a very nice guy who was often present in Recalbox forum.
But in the conversion there is one problem in the game selection. In the upper line beginning with "Players" and after players all datas (release, genre..) are melted and superposed. When you compare with original

The only thing missing for me here is 3DS, but i created this for 3DS for myself (but i didn't do it very professional, just simply with ms paint in a few minutes 😃 )

But i also like the default batocera theme (batocera-light), where the only thing missing for me personally (besides 3DS and NDS, which is not complete) is PS2 artwork.
Currently PS2 is just the same as PSX 🙁
For 3DS and NDS i managed to create something for myself with the help of some svg-files from theme-emulga-box-1.3 (i just copied the console, game, controller.svg files and edited the theme.xml, so that 3DS and NDS now is complete).

Is there someone that would like to create appropriate PS2 artwork for the default theme (batocera-light)? 🙂
Unfortunately i do not know myself, how to create .svg files and i did not find appropriate PS2 artwork via google 🙁

The only thing missing for you ! lol just not 3DS but a lot of systems are missing because it's a very old theme from retropie .. Jaguar, Naomi, and Atomiswave doesn't exist for exemple ..

You do not need to create .svg file in themes. You can also create a background with jpg or png file. If you examine the themes I have edited with jpg-png you can see the background. 😉
