Can lightgun games be played using the mouse on NES / SNES / GENESIS / MASTER SYSTEM? Using Batocera 5.21 x64.

producerdc not hard to set it up i placed everything where it goes and hooked my laptop to the monitor and calibrated it the setting are kept in the gun.

That's pretty cool, but I wasn't looking to spend $100 on a gun that i would only use for a few games, I would just like to know if certain emulators supported using a mouse to simulate light guns.

bryceone mame dose. Haven't tryed it on duckhunt stuff like that I'll try it when get home and report back.

angelus9151 When you say "Placed everything where it goes " are you referring to edits to a file? Or just hooking up the USB ports then mapping it in MAME using the menu. I just purchased two Aimtraks and have not received them yet. So I am trying to get as much knowledge before hand. I know you have to use the calibration tool in windows first to calibrate them, then at that point according to your other post the calibration settings should be stored in the gun.

turbomaxxx mine worked out of the box but to make sure i downloaded the calibration software used the screen was going to be playing on hooked up my laptop to the screen the sensor on top and recalibrated it. The setting stayed in the gun make sure mouse is enabled in the emulator. The laptop i used had windows 10 on it.

I also use wii gun with Mame, Up to 5.20 for the moment.
Concerning Area51, better to use the combined Rom Area 51/Maximum Force Duo. You have 2 games together as it was in the arcade machine and Maximum Force it's somewhere even the best of the 2.
Now I would say that you dont have the right Rom already for Area51, because this games are the less complicated to put in place and work pretty good with Mame 078. Just you need area51mx.zip and area51mx.chd. If you look into the very legal archive.org/download/MAME_078, you will find.

One interesting alternate to Aliens 3 The Gun, is Spacegun from Taico. Unfortunately mirrored because the original arcade cabinet was working with a mirror. I have the right shader to put the image back reversed. So if somebody need.

Thank you as i have them working. Only issue is i cant seem to get it to work for Area51 which requires mame .174 and up. I enable mouse in retroarch but it dosnt move the cross hair or see the device

Dragu thank you very much. Im going to take a look at that combo for mame .078. Last question, for NES i use FCEMUmm but cant get trigger to work unless its set to mouse. But when i do that the sensitivity is too high

Hi, I'm using my wiimote and dolphin bar works in mame 2003 with 0.78 rooms. However I can't get rid of a black mouse cursor that floats around. I'm also trying to find a way to use other systems light gun games like yourself, but as yet haven't been successful. If you know how to get rid of the mouse cursor that would be good.

I'm going to Mame settings itself or retroarch and disable the mouse cursor. I have a light gun and I'd prefer to keep it on mine so I can see where it's aiming exactly mine looks like crosshairs instead of a mouse cursor

I have tried that, a have a mouse cursor and the crosshair moving separate from each other, do you know where the mouse options are is it mouse / pointer/ disabled. That's what iv tried changing.

Scabby did you do it in retroarch or in Mame I think there's a mouse pointer setting for each

How do I get two Wii remotes working with a mayflash bar? I bought a second mayflash bar but when I program the buttons “pull the trigger” it records the it as left click Mouse 1, 2, 3 & 4 for both player one and player two. So when I pull the trigger during game play it shoots for both guns regardless which gun I’m using.
