GPU upgrade

hey guys, i have a cheap pc build that im using right now, it has an intel i3 6100, 4gb ddr4 memory, 2tb hdd, and currently a radeon hd 6870. im looking to upgrade the gpu in this build, im thinking about an AMD rx570 or a geforce gtx 1050 ti, what would be the better performer in batocera linux?

personally, i prefer nvidia gpus.

poke yeah i do to, but i was watching a few videos on the rx 570 vs the gtx1050ti and the rx570 was a bit faster, i just wasn't sure if in linux would the same results be true

amd fx8350 paired with gtx 1050 ti , is the best low setup .. for the price , very cheaper .

poke i decided to use another older machine for batocera, intel i5 3570k @ 4.0ghz, 16gb ddr3 1600mhz, gtx 980 4gb, still having some performance issues in batocera 5.20 with nvidia non-free driver enabled, dolphin emulator is lagging, not sure whats causing the stutter, but on the same system running manjaro the performance is pretty good

Im curious about this also. I bought a Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF about 2 months ago and picked up a Zotac GT 1030 to pair with it. Using this in Windows is great, i can run CEMU @ 1080p or higher with 55-60fps constant. But when i tried booting Batocera on my flash drive the games ran pretty laggy as well. Not really sure why. I really wish i could get it configured because at the moment im forced to use Big Box but i really like Batocera much better considering it makes the PC more like its own console and isn't bogged down with all the Windows crap. Does anyone have any tips to make Batocera run better while using my GT 1030? If not i'm almost to the point of where i would just put that GPU in my work PC and use it for 3D editing then just run the dedicated graphics on the dell.

I tried everything with that GT 1030…
As far as i can tell… graphic card / integrated graphics gives me the exact same performance.
Windows seems like the only way for now if you want to fully use your graphic card :(

Performance is much better with a nvidia gpu.
Did you enable the closed source drivers? Post a support file if you want some help.
