Switching Output Display with no laptop display

I have an old laptop that literally has no screen. Figured I'd mess around with it and try to put batocera on it, which worked to some extent as I can hear the onboard speakers playing the menu music.

Unfortunately, it is attempting to display graphics on the laptop screen, which was completely smashed and thrown away. I was wondering if there is a way to change it without seeing what I'm doing, ie. the keyboard instructions for changing settings without being able to see what's going on.

I'm using batocera 5.21 x86_64 and any help would be greatly appreciated.

however the poster said that after completely removing the integrated display his issue was solved.

yes, you can.
connect via ssh, and run :

batocera-resolution listOutputs
to list available screens.

batocera-resolution setOutput toto
where toto is one of the value returned by the first command.

then restart

Thank you kindly, I actually got batocera running in virtual box and figured out they keystrokes to change it.
