PSX Games won't boot

I've got another problem. Whenever I try playing a PS1 game, it won't load. It crashes Batocera and uses all the CPU. I tried reinstalling the cores and reuploading the games, but I'm out of luck. What can I do?

What file-type/file extension does your PS1 games have?
And did you copy the PS1 bios files into the bios-folder?

Can you give more detail on what you mean by "crashing". I've never had Batocera crash, but have had a console not load a game and go back to the main menu. If that is what you are seeing, try a different file type of the ROM. For example, I was just fighting an issue with N64 not loading. Usually that happened because my Sound device wasn't configured to the right output, however, this time it was because all of my games I placed in the N64 folder were zipped. I extracted all of the games so I had the .n64 files there instead and it works fine now.

And, as joinski said, make sure you have bios files in the bios folder.

It actually put me in a black screen with NO way out, but nvm solved it

bad config files or some conflict, just reset recalbox.config or build a new batocera folder and replace bios and roms from older .
