I have a PC that I put into an arcade. It all works perfectly except for the fact that I can't figure out how to get the arcade sticks working on newer emulators with analog stick games. I'm especially hoping that I can get ps2 games working, but I don't know how to switch the dpad and analog in the controls.
I have tried messing with retroarch with no luck, but it was the main retroarch, I couldn't get into the Ps2 retroarch while inside of a ps2 game because the hot keys don't seem to work on the Ps2 emulator. So I just made the dpad and analog controls both work off of the stick, but it didn't work.
I also tried going into the pcsx2 setting and changing the controls for the emulator. I changed the analog controls to my arcade stick and I saved it. If I leave the settings and go back to check it, the settings are saved. But when I start a game it does not work. And then I leave the game and check my settings and they aren't saved anymore.
