5.22 missing multiple ROMs

I have updated today, i can see all my roms on the sdcard but i cant see on the tv. Why? I already tried to update rhe gane list, scraper, erc. What did i do wrong? Or what am i missing? How to see my psx games? Mame games?

Could you please be more precise? I did not understand your problem.
Do you have another SD-Card where you could install Batocera 5.22 from scratch for testing purpose, to see, if your problems also appear with a fresh new installation.

joinski the problem was, i had 5.20 with lots of roms from mame and psx. After the upgarde to 5.22, games disappeared. First io thought they got deleted during update, but then i went to my computer and thru the network i saw all my roms on their respective folders. 5.22 is not pulling the gamelist apparently. Have anyone saw that?

Never seen something like that before.
Just make a backup of your files and then install Batcoera on a fresh formatted SD-Card from scratch and transfer all your files (BIOS, roms) back to the share-folder.

it will because the theme you were using will have been deleted as the new one has gone for the carbon theme instead of batocera light. What theme did you have set originally?

cliffyb73 i had the original i think. Never changed themes.

Try this. Download the files on the link below:

Then place the es-systems file in the below location:

\BATOCERA\share\system\emulationstation

Then place the batocera light theme folder in:

\BATOCERA\share\system\emulationstation\themes

Reset the unit and go into the settings menu, then UI settings and change the theme to batocera light. Reset again and everything should come back.

cliffyb73 Just to let you know, new installation from scratch also doesn't see my ROMS from Mame and PSx. Going back to 5.20 tomorrow. 🙁

PangaDayWalker Apparently it didn't work. The theme doesn't show to me. Not sure why. Copy theme folder and file to the location and still doesn't work. Will back up and try again to install 5.22 from scratch and see what happens.

Do you have Putty? Sometimes Batocera won’t accept changes unless Emulationstation Station isn’t running. You can connect to it via putty and shut it down using a script. Then make the changes and restart it. If you want to try that let me know and I’ll explain how.

cliffyb73 i did thru winscp. Backup old file and replace with new one

Download and install Putty from the link below:

https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html

When you open it type the IP address of the unit into 'hostname' and hit return.

You will now be asked to log in. The login name is 'root' and the password is 'linux'.

Now all you have to do is copy and paste the below command and hit return:

/etc/init.d/S31emulationstation stop

Now change the folder and es systems files again.

Once that done put the below command into putty and hit return:

/etc/init.d/S31emulationstation start

Go back to the unit itself and reboot then go into the UI settings and change the theme to Batocera Light.

Hopefully it works, if not I give up lol

cliffyb73 I thank you for all the help. What i did was to download a ready 5.22 16GB. Installed on my 32Gb card and extend the user partition to what was left.

And from my rom backup copied only the psx and mame roms i like.

I end up with another controller issue later but was able to resolve thru the retropie menu inside the game. Seems fine now. Hopefully.
