5.22 USB Controller not working in games

I'm using PS2 controller connected using USB adaptor. Configured the controller after reinstalled with the latest update. The controller is functioning properly in Batocera. However when I launched a game, the controller cannot be use at all. I tried launch Batocera on an old laptop, and the controller works fine even in snes game. Go back to emulator pc and it doesn't work in game again.

Before the update, I can play games with the same controller.

plug it into a usb 3, i found the usb 2 ports no longer work for some reason.

But what's the reason it works fine in Batocera but not in the games? More likely software issues rather than usb 2 or 3 ports. It working in game on a laptop.
