I think that Batocera for PI4 will not jump out from nowhere. Not because they have nothing else to do, but also the soft is not ready, and seems that even no python libraries for the moment. The 4GB cost 55$ ?, so 35$ just for the 1GB version that nobody will buy. I dont think the 100MHz will make a difference but the more modern processor. So let it compare in technology to some X86 mini-boards, so, my two J5005 are at 1500MHz when they sleep, and at wakeup run to 2800MHz. What I found positive, the 2x hdmi connectors, Interesting to build a cocktail table with 2 screens. But on the other side, there will probably be never a CM4, because the just outcoming CM3+ was already limited to 1200MHz(heat) , so no runner and no reason to change from CM3.
