installing on one hard drive and everything else on a secon hdd

I have a system I want to install batocera on that has a 120gb ssd and then has a 2tb internal hdd to hold all my roms etc on and only use the ssd for booting into the front end as this is plenty for a boot drive.
Is there any way to achieve this and if so how as I can get installed but cant get it to use the hdd for roms unless I have batocera installed on that as well.

yes, first make a bootable usb flash drive (8G😎 and start it up on your system. then find on the main menu->system settings-> install batocera on a newdisk, make sure you have internet connection, find your 120gb ssd, then follow the prompt. start the system again with your 120gb ssd, then go to main menu->system settings->storage, find your 2tb hdd and then restart.
