Hi nadenislamarre,

thanks for those insane operating system, batocera is very nice and outperforms almost any other retro-os. I´m using it on a raspberry pi 3b and an Intel NUC Hades Canyon NUC8I7HVKVA. Both systems run very well with the latest betas. I´ve got a few questions:

1.) Is it maybe possible that u add AMD graphics drivers for the RX Vega M GH? Batocera is running very well with Hades Canyon NUC but it has sometimes graphic glitches.

3.) Could you try to implement rpcs3 PS3 emulator? It has full linux support.

4.) Could you add WINE to batocera? With that, some people who like to experiment a little bit, this may be really cool.

If you maybe like to implement some of these i could help to test actively.

We already ship amdgpu. Glitches are due to emu or drivers bugs. We can't do much here. I enabled amdgpu without testing. No devs have AMD gpus.

2). Could you try to implement CEMU for x64 platforms? There are a few tutorials at the www how to run this under linux like these:

It also looks like that cemu may be ported also directly for other platforms.
CEMU is closed source and simple things like start+select to go back to ES cannot be implemented. We prefer to not add it at the moment

We do have plans. No ETA.

4.) Could you add WINE to batocera? With that, some people who like to experiment a little bit, this may be really cool.
Wine is available in Buildroot. It is not difficult to compile an image with it. On the other hand, it will create massive support requests for us. What do intend to do with Wine?

so you have to be patient for answers to your questions 😉

regarding 3.)
do you know the minimum hardware requierements for rpcs3 and if there exists a compatability list somewhere?
which games can be run in full-speed without glitches/errors on a PC with for example i7-4790 with GTX1070 under linux?

Present or on holidays, the answer time in this forum stays ahead from all forums I know, included my own.
Discord chat, I was quitting because people inside becomes unconnected from the rest of the world. Result are such crazy stories as just to drop a few mame versions that, I bet, most have even not tested. Or try to make gamepad controls automatic, just forgetting that there exist thousand of controls. But the biggest problem is the overriding of personal configurations in the /share folder.

RPCS3 has really good compatibility it seems.

As you know perhaps, I was inside Discord Chat. This thing is for me the worse chat
I have ever been. Everytime when I connected, I must count traffic lamps, distinct car from busses or soup from steack. Bullshit, and the chat by itself want to pull you in all possible relations, its Spam by its own.
Somebody must explicate to the guy who drive it, that Luxembourg is not a village in Panama, and NO, (also for Recalbox) we are not Spammers in our country, no material need for.
That's the first thing.
On the other hand, chats are the worse communication tool possible. You explicate something to somebody, what dissappears in 10 minutes in the trashbin, and in 30minutes somebody will ask you the same question again. Chats are unproductive when you compare them to forums. And after +- 1Kg of Bergamottes, my opinion didn't change on this.
In general you integrate chats into forums, not forums into chats.

Hello @poke, thank you for your reply. :-)
I understand that most people (devs also) own NVidia Cards. How about, we open a "bounty"?
For me personally, it would be ok to pay a little bit for feature enhancements. I know that all the
people in here have a real life and also couldnt spent all their money in this. Maybe bountys could
help to buy needed hardware or anything else, needed for the project.

To question 2:
Maybe it would be possible, to ask cemu devs for a possibilty give it a control for external programs
like emulationstation. Wouldnt it be enough, to open cemu with arguments and "kill" the process
hard for testing purposes for the beginning?

To question 4:
If we had wine, we could test things like cemu or other things ourselves and give feedback back to
the community. Wine could be implemented with the opinion that there is no support.

Question 2: ES looses focus/sleeps when games are running. So, it is not so easy.
Question 4: You might want to check https://github.com/AlexxandreFS/Batocera.PLUS. Use at your own risk. Never used it.

I upgraded to the newest batocera beta today from here:

Everything is fine now, the games which wont run before, dreamcast and others are working well now. :-)
Just a bit of sound studdering but thats okay. I think the upgrade to MESA 19.1.7 did it.

I built a PC inside a classic XBOX case and use Batocera 5.23 which I find quite stable, but I confess that I tested Batocera.PLUS, and when running PC / WINDOWS games like KOFXIII and SONIC MANIA plus the practicality of Batocera platform It was amazing ... But the Batocera.PLUS system tries to do more than that and ends up putting a lot that in my opinion is just a mess and ends up generating many BUGs ... If the original group of Batocera delivered WINE on the system that we are used to it would be perfect ...

Is there any news from my questions 2, 3 and 4?

It looks like 3 and 4 should be possible to integrate, rpcs3 and wine are already
built for linux. Is it possible that someone may try to implement these things?
