Hello,
5.21 worked for fine for me, but I got an issue since updating to Batocera 5.22. During boot up when the predominantly white splash screen with the Batocera logo on it comes up and it starts configuring systems the screen goes black when it shows "Atari (1/21)" or something like that and stays just black. When I log into the machine via ssh and manually type in startx everything seems to work flawlessly. My CPU & GPU is an AMD A8-7600.
