N64 Mupen, Adding custom textures and change settings?

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and I've been messing around with trying to add custom textures to the mupen emulator like orcaina of time for example. They have .htc files or .png files that can be used to load the textures into the game. I've been having a lot of difficulties trying to add them/work correctly. The first issue was I see the screen load textures by percentage but it feels like it's not really loading anything with the ".htc" file. The next part is i cannot copy .png files to the /shared/mupen64plus/cache/textures....... folder as i get an error saying there is no space available to copy any of the files but I have a 256GB HDD with only 30gb used.

I'm currently using dedicated 3020M Dell Optiplex as my emulator. Any help would be appreciated I tried looking in the forums for my answer with no luck.

Oh, somehow after you make your img from an img that you downloaded, It's only going to give you that much space. You'll have to gparted (linux) to RESIZE TO make it full size. But, if you want to add games and overwrite what's in there, you'll have to press f1, right click on a Folder or ALL FOLDER AND GO TO PROPERTIES/PERMISSIONS MAKE SURE ALL 3 COLUMNS (GROUP/ACCESS/OTHERS) are set to ALL.

I know, it's a pain, but. It's better than linking 2 PC together and transferring roms over to another PC from 1 PC. Like Recalbox. Now, that sucks.... LOL
