BZZ Just wanted to ask before I start getting the PC out and apart.... I have batocera in x86_64 desktop PC. Its on a 1TB HDD. If I add another HDD will it read the roms from both ?
BZZ From what I got from older topics most people say the limit is 2TB. However seeing how I am using 3TB for rom storage that would not be precise. I am assuming that the limit is to actual install drive and not to secondary. So following that I guess you could try to use a simple USB with small size factor and then large HDD to run games from. But as I cannot find anything in wiki only people like @nadenislamarre could give you a clear answer. nadenislamarre no. you can install batocera on 1 of the drives and read from one drive or the other but not both at the same time
Kossay nadenislamarre sorry for reviving the post hehe, had a 128gb ssd and 1tb hdd wd disc, can i install batocera on de ssd(for speed) and then add all the games on the hdd 1tb hardrive?? because i couldnt figure out how :c

lux nadenislamarre Hi, I've the same problem! If possible, I would really appreciate to have Batocera read from more than one HD.
BZZ nadenislamarre Did you mean that this is something you could add to the future release? or more something we could do in settings to get this to work? And if so how?
nadenislamarre it can be done in 5.22 but it is triicky. let me try somdthing if i think to it once back

poke Kossay Edit your batocera-boot.conf with something like this: sharedevice=DEV <your_1tb_partition_uuid> or sharedevice=NETWORK sharenetwork_cmd1=mount <your_1tb_partition_device> /userdata

Kossay thanks for the reply, now i have another quick question, i put batocera on a 2tb hard drive, fresh install, when i tried to update to the last batocera(cause its 5.22) using OTA update its says "not enough space".... :c
BZZ Kossay There was a space change on system partition in between some past versions. You might just have to do a fresh install of the system rather than update.
