Errors, Issues

I like to play games but i'm no computer guy so bear with me. I figured a few things out but need help with these.

Retroachievements, i made an account on the retroachievements site and signed on (on batocera) but in the menu it says player not found
Bios, What are they? How do i add them? I have just been clicking on bios and drop them all in the folder but it doesn't seem like it does anything. In the menu it still says im missing them all. How do i update them?(update games list?)
Controller Issues, I have been using ps4 remote plugged in and it works good. Gamecube and Nintendo 64 games get stuck in the game menus if i am not first player. i only have power cord, mini hdmi (plugged into graphics card to tv) and my one controller plugged in. It always defaults to second player. The only fix i found was to unplug the controller and when the system launches when it gets to that white screen and goes through 0/13 to 13/13 or whatever it is i plug it in. Then the Gamecube and n64 games work but if i exit the game it goes back to second player. At least i think thats what those grey boxes are in the bottom left.
Also it doesn't recognize my xbox 360 controller. It's wireless but i have a cord i can plug in. It gets power. My only thought is that i need to unlink it from the 360 but the ps4 remote is still linked but works fine.
Kodi, I added one thing but i'm struggling to add anything else. Currently i want to add a VPN. The last way i added one was add a website on kodi and then use that as the source for the download. But i don't know which sites are valid to use as a source to get the app. Are there any VPN's that have a kodi app that are free or have a free trial? i don't want to pay for it until i know what im doing.
Gamecube, For roms i usually click info and it tells me what ".things" are supported but all the downloads for gamecube that i find are usually in .7z format and it doesn't support it. Is there a way i can add support for it? I used winzip thing and unzip'd it for sonic adventure 2 battle and it kind of worked. The game launches but pops up with an error saying its a bad ipl dump but launches game after. It freezes every like 15-20 seconds but continues to work. The game only seems to half save as well. i spent like an hour throwing a chao against a wall and feeding the other one but i leave and do a mission come back and there in the eggs again.
Wifi, Almost forgot about the wifi. The ethernet cord works fine but its short so its going diagonally across the room. It's inconvenient so i want to set up the wifi. I put in the username and password wrong but fixed it and now its messed up. The username thing is right but the password isn't cooperating. I put it in but says its not connecting so i go check the password and its glitched to like 100 characters long. i fix it go back in and it still goes back to the 100 character long thing.

Currently using my old pc to run stuff. I use to play Diablo 3 on it when it first came out so i would hope that it could run games that came out like 15+ years earlier. It's taken me like 3-4 weeks to make it this far so please respond in dumb, thanks.

Retroachievements started working on its own. I guess it just needed a couple days or something.

n64 games don't seem to let me exit out back to the emulator any suggestions?

I figured out my issue with the bios, i had them but 90% of them i had wrong file names. I got the md5sum app and dragged and dropped the files i thought were right and compared it to missing bios md5 then fixed the name to what it was suppose to be and now it says i have no missing bios.
I am still having issues with ps2 and gamecube games. i can get them to launch but is really glitchy. I have a couple ideas i'm working on. 1.if i plug in the usb to a different computer and go to batoceraboot.conf i delete the # before the nvidia-true so i think it uses the graphics card but when i launch batocera after doing that i cant get the sound to work again. 2.Might be messing with the roms too much. I download one and its like 600mb but it doesnt work so i unzip it so it does work but makes it about 1.7gb. I will try to find one that i dont need to unzip and maybe it will be smooth

Did you try the kodi method to get sound via HDMI with activated nvidia-drivers?
Just start kodi and within kodi go to system settings, audio, and select the proper audio output device (it is the one, where your monitor/tv-name appears) and remember the number # (for example HDMI #2) and then when you have working sound within kodi (test with youtube or filmon addon), exit kodi and set the same HDMI #number as output device in Sound Settings of Batocera ES.

Sound works fine when i have it like this but as soon as i activate nvida-driver=true this happens

The tv part on the kodi end disappears. I don't understand why that changes things. I have the tv hooked up to the computer through an HDMI cord to an adapter thats HDMI to mini-HDMI thats plugged into the graphics card. The computer doesn't work if the output isn't through the graphics card. But hopefully that has nothing to do with anything.

I have to say that I had trouble running Batocera via HDMI hub and at the end just plugged it directly. The hub is working as PC, PS3 and Xbox360 are all working fine. Try after the above and see ;-)

I tried that but it didn't seem to make a difference. I saw somewhere that updating the drivers can help so i updated those but it didn't do anything. I'm out of ideas currently for active graphics drive thing+sound but with the graphics drive thing deactivated i have sound.

I think i might know the issue with my wifi. The ssid or key has a $ or # in it and i think maybe with the coding it doesn't work. I think it might think its a command or something. i dont know if that makes a problem or not.

Gadianton8 When you go to sound setup screen, I think it was ctrl+alt+f3 do you see the graphic card there? Does it change from 'mm' ?

yeah, everything is turned on. The Menu doesn't change if i turn #nvidia-driver=true on or off with the #. I dont think thats the problem. My sound works if i leave it off. I think this might be my issue

but i only understand like 10% of it. I think what it says is that i need to update my driver to the linux one so it can understand batocera. But i can't update it like you normally can because if i do then i cant see windows.(i think) So i have to upgrade it somewhere else.
Theres a good chance that im wrong but thats what i think it says and might be the issue.
