controller mapping issue

i tested 4 pads
1. PS3 (genuine) would not prompt the mapping screen, but would assign UP as launch and other buttons none working
2. PS4 (not genuine) not recognised at all
3. G3W would get the mapping prompt, but no way to map keys
4. Xbox One S, get the mapping prompt, can map everything perfectly and all works !

Weird right ?

System tested
Atomiswave / Fist of the North Star : Near perfect, but im getting some micro freeze during combat
Naomi / Virtua Tennis 2 : Very fluid, but getting some micro freeze too
Mame / DonDonPachi : Perfect
Saturn / Twinkle Star Sprites : Perfect

Question : Which folder should i put DeathSmiles (Cave) ? I think its a Mame2016 but don't know where's the folder for this core

also noticed these micro freeze, it depends on the loading times. He did it to me when he accessed the external hard disk via usb3. I replaced the hardisk with an SSD and the problem disappeared. I tried on an XU4.
