Retroarch not working in 5.23??

First of all, let me be the first to say that i LOVE what i'm seeing in this new update! And just to see a "modern" GUI and version of Retroarch is nice lol. But i'm having problems with getting it running. For some reason, the only emulators that are working are the stand alone emulators; PCSX2, Dolphin, PPSSPP etc. But anything that runs on Retroarch, which is the majority of the OS, will not load. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I'm running Batocera on a USB flash drive/roms on internal HDD. My PC is a Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF/8Gb of Ram/GT 1030 GPU. I enable the nvidia driver support also btw.

what happend ? when you start a game, it comes back to the menu ?
if yes, can you post in pastebin the file logs/es* ?

nadenislamarre Yes, the screen turns black like its going to load then after about 2 seconds it goes back to the menu. A little bit ago i decided to put 5.22 on a different thumb drive but after doing this the games still wont launch the same way. I have the storage set to internal - my rom drive btw. This worked just fine before, i'm guessing something is embedded from 5.23 in my batocera folder in that drive? I'm not sure what the problem is. The directories have not changed either, i left them the way they were before: batocera>roms> whatever roms for each system.

EDIT: To add to this, i have this installed on another PC for my kids, so i tried updating to 5.23 and it works perfectly. I'm guessing there is a cfg file or something somewhere in my HDD that may be corrupt or clashing with the OS?

Are you sure you have all BIOS files on the same drive as the Game ROMs? We had this situation in a different thread. If you boot from USB but do have the games on HDD, all the BIOS need to be in the folders of the HDD as well.

Kugelblitz Yes, all of the BIOS files are here as well. That's what was odd about the whole thing. Nothing was moved or transferred since the last time i used it, that's what i don't understand. It should work just fine.

poke I just ran the support file, where do i find it?

EDIT: I think i found it, under Save? I created 2 if that's the case; one after i launched PCSX2 successfully, the other when i tried to launch SNES and it crashed. Again, this is only in emulators using Retroarch, not the stand alone emulators.

BMC_War_Machine Could you please remove /userdata/system/configs/retroarch/cores/retroarch-core-options.cfg and try again?

poke thanks poke that fixed it!! The only thing i couldn't confirm is if PSX worked because it says i was missing the BIOS? That could be because i downloaded the bettle HW version in retroarch, i'll have to tinker with it some more later. Greatly appreciated dude!
