Hi,

i've put a new image of the odroidn2 here :

it includes all what i wanted for the final odroid n2 version, including linux 5.3 and gbm gpu drivers for the better results.

All feedbacks are welcome now.
I've found already 2 stranges issues :
- sound not working in n64 007
- altered beast crashing at the beginning when the man is supposed to appear (megadrive)

Some intital observations:

The 2/4 Player menus within EmulationStation seem to crash the N2 if they are accidentally selected.
The theme that previously worked on the beta (es-theme-alekfull) causes the board to be stuck on a black screen through a reboot.
Certain N64 games that performed badly with the default emulators/cores but would work ok with some changes on the beta (Banjo Kazooie as the main example) now won't run at any reasonable frame rate at all.
Saturn games still perform badly. I did try TheRA's N2 build and they ran well on there, albeit I think they have managed to get yabasanshiro working.
Networking is still very hit and miss. It seems to be really random as to whether I'll get an IP address or not.
I had hidden the BIN files for PSX ans Saturn, and they show as hidden when looking at the options, but they don't hide. Show Hidden Files is definitely off.

i didn't get issue for the n64 emulation. which game ?

nadenislamarre Connected via ethernet, directly into my router. Just turned it on this morning and it will only give a 169 address instead of a 192. However, this is variable and sometimes it will acquire an IP. Seems quite random.

The N64 specifically is Banjo Kazooie. On Auto/Auto, it's unplayable (less than 5 frames per second). Changing to both Libereto with the Parallel core and Mugen with the Gliden64 core crash straight back to EmulationStation (Gliden64 more extremely, often makes the N2 totally unresponsive).

I updated the operating system to batocera 5.24 beta version.
The boot was successful and the main menu is shown. However, the gamepad connected to the Odroid N2 did not work. The LEDs on the gamepad light up. So I don't think it's a gamepad malfunction.
The gamepad's product name is Gamesir G3w Pad. It worked fine 5.22 version before updating to 5.24.

Looks great from what I see so far. Missing the resolution changes for emulators via menu and also amiga emulator but progress is excellent.

Just started to do more testing on the N64. So far I've gone through 6 games, and found that 2 were playable (1080 Snowboarding and Castlevania), two unplayable (Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie) and 2 that have no sound at all (Conker's Bad Fury Day and Diddy Kong Racing). These are all using the auto settings for the emulator and cores.

I'd like to add my further analysis of N64 games:

Using Auto Settings:

Glover - Splash Screen followed by booted to ES or Complete Crash
Kirby 64 - Playable but with flashing ground textures, Sound present
Bomberman Hero - Playable but with texture issues such as menu and shadow texture glitches
Turok - Playable but no sound
Turok 2 - Playable but no sound
Turok 3 - Playable, Some Frame Drops, No Sound
Yoshi Island - Playable, Frame Drops affecting sound but sound is present
Zelda OOT - Playable slight texture issues but nothing major, Sound present
Zelda Majora Mask - Playable, no issues to note, Sound Present
Mario 64 - Playable, No Issues to note, Sound present
Goldeneye 007 - Fully Playable but no sound
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie - Loads but framerate is probably 1FPS, No Sound

Ive also noticed that from the last beta to this beta, dreamcast games are now completely not working, whilst before games such as REZ, mr driller, headhunter and sonic adventure 2 would play more or less fine, now they instantly boot back to ES when selected. It would seem that for now Reicast doesn't support the N2 or something is interfering.
----- Edit ----- Retested using 21st Build and Dreamcast is functioning as expected, mustve just been disabled features in the 19th build -------

I'd also to mention issues with the Sega CD as well, whilst i dont have many games to hand to test for this system, i have experienced both snatcher and star wars chess getting booted back to ES shortly after the splash screen with the sega logo and respective sonic sprite.
----- Edit ----- Retested both games in 21st Build and same results occur neither game will load past sega cd splash screens

I'm not sure what causes the networking errors. The morning I am showing a constant stable connection within batocera to 192.168.0.31. I have spent 30 mins trying to SSH into it though, without success, and then suddenly it has allowed me access. However, it is incredibly slow (10-20 seconds between entering a command, clicking on a folder in Filezilla, before it allows me to do anything). Again, I'm not technical enough to know why, but it is very inconsistent in its behaviour.

i was talking to susan about this very issue on discord a few days ago and they said that the 169.x.x.x IP addresses are for autonomous networks and that in the next beta they may disable batocera from being able to connect to them.

My theory is that the N2 is getting confused as to which IP to try to connect to, so disabling 169.x.x.x IPs might fix our issues

theres also going to be another beta image available in a few days thats bringing core updates and retroarch updates

I tested the gamesir g3w pad more on odroid n2.
As a result, it did not work on odroid n2 in X-input state.
After switching the G3w Pad to D-input, the gamepad will run on the n2.

In Batocera 5.22, the pads worked fine with X-input.

I have tested two Odroid WiFi Modules 0 & 5 in Batocera 5.24 but do not recognize them.
WiFi worked fine in version 5.22.

Hello I have a question about the N2 Image File.
I downloaded the latest version of Batocera for the N2 but there is no way the setup will start after i put the sd card back into the Odroid (yes i Know about the boot priority switch)

just an obvious question but one worth asking - you are formatting the SD card correctly and burning the image to the SD card using etcher or rufus right?

Setup wont begin if you've just put the image file on the SD card, it has to be burned (extracted) onto an SD card.

Yes I burned the image to the SD card im familiar to Etcher and followed all the steps.
I'd tried it too day again but Still no result.

I switched back to emuelec is a emulator software Just Like batocera but stable and really fast.
I don't want to post a Link her because I don't want to offend the creator of Batocera his version is truly amazing and I respect the hard work he put into this amazing software.
