Dual Booting with Windows 10

I just got Batocera set up and it's amazing. However I'm having a problem with dual booting with Windows 10. Here's my situation:

Installed Win10, it works without issue
I have an SSD with two partitions: one for Win10 (NTFS) and another for ROMs and content (exFAT)
I boot from USB with Batocera on it

When I'm in Batocera I tried changing it from boot via USB to boot via hard drive, but when I reboot it just shows a black screen. I can see that the batocera folder appears on the "content" partition, but it can't boot. In fact when I boot, it doesn't give me an option to select an OS, it just goes straight to Windows.

But unfortunately it didn't seem to work, it does the same thing: boots to a blank screen.

I think the best solution for me here is to just boot Batocera from the USB and add ROMs from the content partition. Any chance you can help me do this?

There is a harddisk Phobia turning around, It's from good all times as a harddisk was the optimum to reach in equipement for homecomputers.
Or, timers haved changed. As example I use all my dual boot Windows10/Batocera over USB3, Sata (hd) drivers are inactivated. USB3 is more speed as Sata3. On the other side Sata drivers generate alot of interrupts, slowing down your machine for no reason. So, I use USB3 memory stick for Batocera together with an USB3 SDD drive. No Sata.
Abnyway you can split your roms as they can take place on your sdd/hdd drive. Have you seen the speed with the releasing of new versions for Batorcera and other ? Nothing more easy than to etch a new stick, conserving the former one for security if some things went wrong. Making every time the operation with protest from Windows, better to use the time for playing. 🙂

justcharlie Is your Batocera actually installed on the hard drive ? Batocera has two partitions if you use it from one drive. One is for boot +/- 4 gb and another for roms(whetever is left). If you use the USB it still creates both partitions on the USB and can use the HDD/SSD for the roms. If you want to install on the hard drive make sure you have these partitions created. It is simpler when you have two disks or disk and USB as you already booted it with.
