Best IPAC2 Setup for Batcotera x64?

So first off, love Batcotera linux on x64. It works awesome minus my issues.

The Main issue I have is the proper mapping of an IPAC2 controller.

One of my friends informed me to use "alphanumeric" keys for all of the buttons, but they primarily use PI.
it works fine, with the exception of not being able to properly map MAME or any other layout once that is done. I cannot seem to tab into the Mame controls with this
configuration for inputs (even after deleting the default.cfg). When I plug in a gamepad to access the Retroarch settings, it doesn't appear to save the settings.

Am I missing something?

What is the best way to setup an arcade IPAC2 Controller with Batcotera?

I used a Xin-Mo controller as well, but had issues with the B button sharing the Recalbox Menu that I couldn't seem to get past either.

Any help would be appreciated.

My solution to this problem was to upgrade ipac2 firmware and use xinput mode.

Do this on a pc and save the settings in the Ultimarc winpac app. Everything will be saved in ipac2 by default to use it on any device.

I am on 5.23.. should of stated that.

As a heads up, I went back in and setup the IPAC keys to the defaults of Batocera's keyboard commands. for the most part it works (for mame) but I still cannot seem to access the invidivual dip switch menus in mame after deleting Default.cfg

I can access retroarch and make the settings, but they don't appear to stick. thoughts?

Hi I’m having the same issues with ipac2 using Batocera on pi4b did u get to the bottom of it by any chance?

Just as a heads up to future readers, ultimarc is also on Batocera. No need to rely on Windows.
