In Batocera, would it be possible to show the Slider controls option for mame in order to increase the CPU speed when playing games like Double Dragon 2 or Metal Slug 2 which are known to have slowdowns? In windows that option can be activated by editing the mame.ini file and adding a line cheat 1.
