2060 RTX Palit
Batocera install on m2 ssd
Main OS Windows 10

It doesn’t matter which controller I use, it doesn’t work on the second version of the emulator, but if it’s important, I mainly use two types of controllers, either DS4 or DS3

DS3 controllers should work right out-of-the-box without the need of manual button-mapping.
If your settings are not saved after reboot, then maybe you did not wait long enough on first boot after new installation, or something else went wrong with your initial setup? What does system information in ES say under "Disk Usage"?

maybe you should use the latest alpha version of 5.24++ i have no problems in dreamcast (even in flycast) with my controllers with the latest version

I recorded a video with my problem, it shows that I am using the latest version, installed it on a new disk, did everything carefully, but as I said earlier, the first emulator works without problems and freezes but the controller does not work, and on the second it’s the opposite, the controller works but it is impossible to play.

Did you test with only that one game (Spawn) or also with other games?
I do not have any issue with my PS3 controller in Dreamcast.

I do not have any problems in dreamcast with my ps3 controller (but i use it wirelessly with a bluetooth dongle)

I've the same problem with 5.23 on x86_64 architecture:
(1) Flycast - the games stutter.I tried different games or to disable sound but nothing seems to fix it
(2) Reicast - this emu seems to work fine but has worst compatibility (eg. NG DEV TEAM games won't work at all) and has problem with left analog controller using a PS3 pad (it keeps the direction hold up since you press "select" button). Also You can't access to RA with this emu.

At the moment, I have 5.24, I tried to run different games, but the result is the same. The controller connected via wire and without it, the result is the same.

Hi sorry for being late. I didn't test 5.24 beta yet but I tested 5.23 stable with my arcade stick: well the Reicast problem disapears when you use that control device.
So the issue is somethig really related to the analog/digital pad configuration

I use my PS3 controller on Dreamcast via cable and on an occasion via bluetooth and dont have any trouble with it. Did you try simply unplugging your peripherals like keyboard?
