How to add external HDD to Odroid XU4 for more space ?

Hi, can someone tell me please how I can add and external storage to the Odroid Xu4 for more rom space besides the micro SD card that is used? I am using an 256GB micro SD card , but I would like to add an external HDD also to be able to add more roms since my 256GB micro SD card is already full.

decayedsin i don't think you can use Both right? Otherwise you can Just switch storage to external in the menu.

Tomsen THanks for the reply. I was kind of hoping that I could use what I already have. So that my 256GB purchase would not be kind of pointless. I was planning in using the 256GB SD micro SD card in addition with an 500 HDD to have around 750 GB of rom storage space. So it is not possible to share between both instead of just selecting one?

decayedsin i think you have to switch in batocera itself. Buy then you need to remember what games are on what disk, buy you might also need to reboot. But i never tried it so just set internal to external (reboot) and after that Just ad one game and try it out.

decayedsin i would go for the 500gb disk, i kinda had the same problem. I had a 125gb disk, no im on a old i3 desktop to emulate GameCube and PS2. Just sold my Odroid XU4 with the 125gb card hehe.

Batocera only looks for one place at a time. Or in the internal memory or in the external memories. It is worthwhile on XU4 to choose an SD with a small 8 Gb boot. Then connect a 1Tb SSD connected to the USB 3 with a SATA to USB cable . I solved this with my odroid xu4. Avoid normal hdds as they are slow and often lag during uploads.

Bimbo I flashed Batocera onto my internal eMMC and put all games in the external 512gb SD Card. Works great!
