Any plans on adding this core to batocera. Watched a lot of youtube videos and this core really make the psx emulator shine.

I just tryed running this core on an older computer i had through retroarch windows. It worked pretty good. The graphics are a lot better. Really brings out the psx emulator that many prople loves.

In batocera how hard is it to add a core and let emulation station play with it. I was reading in other forums it has a little trouble running on the rasp pi but computer x86 hardware is a lot better.

its ok just throwing thoughts out there. as of right now i have a duo boot on my computer. one is batocera and the other i loads windows and uses launchbox. I would love to stick with just batocera but the psx roms are just a tad bit to choppy for me. Espxe do do a better job at psx this new core thats out can fix that. for everything else other than wii and gamecube batocera is awesome. I'm hoping one day i can move away from booting to windows and stick with batocera. Its a great retro gaming o/s.

How hard is it for me to change or add the core Mednafen/Beetle PSX HW. i would really like to try this as psx id one of my favorites.

first, compile batocera for your plateform according to the wiki.
then, copy a package from package/batocera/libretroxxx to yours and do the modifications you think are required.
then test.

this is a very good idea. The emulator with your program is very jaggy and from watching youtube videos the Mednafen/Beetle PSX HW is way better. Almost as good as the epsxe emulator. hope to see it soon included in a future build.

thanks, i have been playing around with linux any trying to add it. but for some reason cannot get it to work. i'm a total nobe when comes to linux.

i'll update the x86_64 beta for testers.
i've tested quickly, i've not found difference on my games.
i've remove .bin extension in psx, thus cue is better to use now.

when this core is used, you have to open retro arch and go to the options menu and change the resolution.
And thanks for the removal of the .bin files.

i'm reuploading the x86_64 beta version including this core.
note that it is not by default, you've to go in game options=>advanced=>psx

Just tried it. The core did work, but when you try to change the settings it crashes. Driver section must be set to Vulkan. I was using retroarch 1.5 on my windows pc.
Probably a minor issue but thanks for trying

seems there are great cores for n64 also with Mednafen

thank you for this thread, this helped me a lot. finaly as sumup for next peoples : go in actual version of batocera -> options -> games -> advanced -> psx -> emulator and set libreto, then set mednafen for core option.
Then run a psx game and go in retroarch (hotkey + b) and go option->gpu scale and change x1 to x4 for exemple (the more x the more ressource intensive and more resolution)
