Concerning shooting mame shooting games, I didnt arrive to make House of dead (hotd) working till now. So there seems to be a problem. Anyway not all roms works.
Best to begin with a very good working game :
"Alien3 The gun" works well under most cores, from mame2003 on.
Best second is the 2 games combining rom
"Aerea51/Maximum Force" also under Mame2003, two superb games.
"Rail Chase" also not bad, Runs under mame2010.
"Spacegun" is about Taito version of Alien3, but the game is only playable with a special shader, that mirrors the game, as it was a mirror in the box.
"Zombie Raid" is another funny running under mame2003.
Some need more powerful cpu as Raspberry, but turns on a x86 : Carnevil, Time Crisis, Invasion The Abductors.
Some games missing here, but I was just writing about the best.
Concerning Wiimote, it only works in combination with a Mayfair Dolphinbar. Not all Bars works ! But this simulates a mouse rather good. As it is positioned up (best) or down the screen, the focus points also up and down if you are too much near.
Other story, as I am always in 5.20 (and will stay there if they dont bring back mame2016) I have not this lightgun section and start all my games in Mame (with mame2003, mame2003+,mame2010,mame2016) are still present.
There is some nonsense to make an extra section for lightgun. No reason. When I first selected Batocera, I was saying "Whoaah". But history always repeats itself. After glorying developments, its going backwards.
