What i love and what i hate about Batocera

Hi everyone, I recently migrated from Recalbox to Batocera and I admit it was love at first sight. I can finally play with some PlayStation 2 games I had in the basement and, after having ripped them, I saved them on an external hard drive with Batocera bootable from USB. I also have some PlayStation 1 games and I ripped them in cue / bin format, but I noticed that Batocera always shows the bin file in emulationstation. The result is that in the list there are always 2 identical entries. How is it possible to solve? Is the management of the gamelist.xml different from Recalbox? Thanx guys!

Hi Melo,
i suggest, to convert the bin and cue files of ps1 games into .pbp format. Thereby you only have one file per game.
I guess it is also possible to hide either the cue or bin files, so that your games are not listed twice. You have to edit a certain file (don't know the name of this file and where to find it right now, you have to search here in the forum, i believe someone posted a little tutorial some time ago).

Melo The absolute easiest thing to do is use external scraper and select 'hide' on files you dont want shown. You can also edit gamelist file and remove the lines relating to files you do not want. I also believe you can hide them via in game menu.

Thank you for your fast reply! Pbp files works like a charm but, I don't know how to create pbp files with multiple bin audio tracks 🙁 . I Aldo tried to modify emulationstation configuration file deleting bin file type but when I restart Batocera everything return whit default options. Also if I try to hide bin files with a scraper software Batocera show me cue files with descriptions, totale and screenshots at the begining of the list and all bin files at the end...

Hi, i am moderator of french batocera community on Facebook. I made a software for batch converting cue/bin or gdi/bin to chd or pbp for batocera and other systems or psp, ps classic mini...
It doesn't matter if there is one or multiple tracks it merge them without any problems. And for multi cd games it merge them to into one PBP file too.
The only 'problem' software is in french.. If you want and if I have rights to do, I can share it. It's still in bêta but it works.. It's most likely a script with a gui than a software but doing the job.

Ok guys, i solved the problem with duplicate entries in my psx gamelist. I've scraped games with SKRAPER application excluding bin files from extensions type. Then from the Batocera menu ->interface I've selected "show only games from gamelist".
