Update Kodi please.

Is there a way to update kodi to the latest version 18.5 released 17 Nov 2019. If not can you please do so in the next version release of Batocera.

Kodi hasn't been updated since 17.6 was introduced in Batocera 5.12 - 2018/01/22
Kodi 17.6 was released 15 November 2017 and is over 2 years old.

been asking forever,have to dual boot librelec to use netflix with kodi etc.
you could also trying using libreelec RR, or Retroelec

Thanks.. Having an all in one setup and not having to dual boot would be ideal. I also have latest Libraelec installed. As a Kodi media player, does have emulators add-ons that can be used.

Didn't know about Libreelec RR, & Retroelec. So going to check those out as well. Being based on latest Kodi builds.

Buildroot needs to update Kodi first. They just released version 2019.11 but the Kodi revision is still the same (17.6). Buildroot has a release build every quarter so hopefully in the next build.

I am also awaiting the update as 4K video doesn't want to play properly on the Odroid-H2 with Kodi 17.6. If anyone happens to have a fix for this issue, it would be much appreciated.
