Just updated to 5.24, unable to output through HDMI

Hi all,

First sorry if I´m missing something, this is my first post here.

As the tittle says I've just updated to 5.24 and I'm unable to output the image though HDMI. I'm able to see at the UI options the "HDM1" option, I've changed several times, restarted several times and nothing happens. It was working perfectly until I updated to the new version. I've read and tried (I believe so) every manual from the Wiki, but I´m stuck, so I reach to you guys to see if you can lend me a hand to solve this.

Please do not hesitate to ask any question due as you can see I'm not providing much info.

The system I'm using (it's the same PC as per two hours ago) is an Asus All In One ET2230I with Ubuntu Server 18.04.3 freshly installed.

Hi,

I am also new here, and I have been dealing with what I think is the same issue. I just installed Batocera a few days ago, so I have only used 5.24. It’s installed on a laptop, and the HDMI wouldn’t output anything. After a lot of searching, I found this (https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Change-display-resolution-on-x86---x86_64). After copying the file (/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc) to ~/.xinitrc and setting the resolution to 1920x1080@60Hz, I was able to get video out. Then to test it, I re-commented out the resolution change, and it still works, so I think all you need to do is copy the file. Unfortunately, since I did this, the hot key has stopped working in emulators other than Mupen64plus. So now I have video out through HDMI, but I cannot exit games with my controller. Hopefully someone else can tell me how to fix the hot key. It was working fine until today, and it registers correctly in EmulationStation.

I've tried to do something with this solution but for some reason I quite not understand there no such directory. I can reach /etc/X11/ but not more than that. The content I can see on that path is at follows.

An some files named,

Not a trace from a file called .xinitrc nowhere on this computer. I was waiting for a new update, or trying to go back to an older version which I know it should work, but no luck, Batocera have no archive.

Still at the same point as the first day.

Any help would be appreciated.

joinski yes, I tried that. I also started a new thread detailing all the ways I have tried to fix it (https://forum.batocera.org/d/2985-hot-key-stopped-working-except-in-mupen-after-fixing-hdmi). Configuring the controller doesn’t help, unpairing and repairing Bluetooth doesn’t help (although it did change the configuration), and enabling (and subsequently disabling) the Xbox controller driver through ~/batocera.conf didn’t help (but that also changed the configuration). The one thing that did work was connecting the controller with a micro usb, but once I unplugged it and returned to Bluetooth it stopped working again. It works fine in mupen, and in emulation station the icon in the top left flashes red when I hit the hot key (it flashes blue for any other input; I am using the default theme). Thank you for your reply.

Deamontro Are you on x64 ? I have these files where they should be. Do you have hidden system files ? What are you using to open these folders ?
