Random black screen

I get a random black screen while playing games. I have to switch to console and then back to get the display back. I recently re-installed Batocera(5.24 legacy) as I changed the HDD. I have all my games on 3TB HDD and system on 240GB HDD. The only other recent change I've done is to use old VGA screen as it frees my TV for other use. I used it via HDMI before. I did have some trouble downloading the system(BZZ) but it didnt feel that impactful(considering it started🙂). I already tried changing the display from auto to VGA and the display to 800x600, 800x600 60Hz, 640x480 and 640x480 60Hz. Did not help so far. I also can keep it on for hours with the videos play as screen saver and nothing happens. I play a game for 5 min and I get the black screen.

Is it a VGA thing (I dont have a way to test it on HDMI at this time). Or should I consider the install botched ?

Ok so I think I found why this is happening.... From log:

It seems that Xorg sends signal to the screen to see if it is still active and cuts off display if there is no response. Unfortunately on older monitors, like the one I've used to free the TV up there is no response. These screens are simply to old 🙁 Whilst googling Xorg I found that: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Display_Power_Management_Signaling . However I cannot find a file that would be responsible for that.
Now the questions are: Is this the culprit ? And if so how to get this done ? : )
