Using VGA port on ASUS EEE

Hi there, am trying to use my old ASUS eee and it runs great up to snes, but when I use the VGA cable the screen selection screen does not work properly or it does not align properly and then when u choose a game it runs ok and the resolution aligns but sometimes the borders keep flashing white.
Also on this new version the function keys on the keyboard that use FUN key like vol+ and vol- does not work anymore, on ver. 1.4 it does.

for the flashing borders, it seems to happend sometimes ; i've not yet understand why. i think that it's only on retroarch. can you confirm that the n64 has not this issue ?

for the keys, can you access via ssh and try :
evtest
choose your keyboard
and press the volume keys
on my side, it's still working, so because i've upgrade the linux version, perhaps that there is a change on your keyboard (the VOLUME key is perhaps renamed), the evtest, if you know how to do it would help to understand.

Hi there, thanks for the quick reply.. in evtest there is an event5 named Eee PC WMI hotkeys that on the new version does not have. Am trying to find out how to edit so I can insert it.

How can I insert CEA 1 HDMI config on boot???? The resolution of the games works ok on games but not on the menu, when am running VGA to my LCD TV.

Or can u insert it on the next update???

eeepc-wmi.c is already in the x86 kernel.
CONFIG_EEEPC_WMI=m

you can check if that is loaded for you by typing : lsmod
or run modprobe eeepc-wmi to load it.

nadenislamarre Its not loaded and when i try to load it, it says that can't load mule no such device. =/
