Fresh build Batocera only. Drivers question.

So I built a new PC for the kid and the idea is to have only Batocera and Steam OS's on the build. i5 X-Series, Seagate EVI 1tb drive (for Batocera), 1060ti compact gpu, 32gb ram (viper).
Can I update drivers manually on botacera or do I even need to? Do I have to install Windows 10 just to do initial driver updates?
Sorry for the potato questions, but I have never installed an OS besides versions of windows and I'm a little unsure about bios updates and gpu updates if I don't plan on installing Windows on this build, ever.

Flofresh Batocera comes with what you need pre-installed, there is no need to update anything. For bios you'd have to google how to update it. It is not hard and does not require OS.
