No games are loading on x86_64 (64 bits) 5.24 (With a few exceptions)

I upgraded Batocera x86_64 (64 bits) to version 5.24. Now, games are not loading. When I select a game, it just goes back to menu. Only systems I can get to load are 3DS, Gamecube, Dreamcast, N64, Scumm and PSP.

bryceone What version were you on previously? What systems are not loading? What games did you test? Did you check BIOS files?

Was on 5.21 before. Nothing works from most systems, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, MAME, FBA, SegaCD,

The systems that I tested either have the correct BIOS (I checked under Missing BIOS option), or they dont require one.

My biggest issue would be that I format the drive and start from scratch again, because I have no place to store everything on this drive before doing that.

UPDATE: I think it's everything that uses LIBRETRO was affected. Everything that does work has it's own emulator. DOSBOX, CITRA, REICAST, DOLPHIN, PPSSPP, and SCUMMVM. I even went to my Commodore64 settings and changed that emulator to VICE instead of LIBRETRO and now it loaded.

You can easily downgrade back to 5.21 by just extracting this file to your drive, where you installed batocera on:
https://batocera.org/upgrades/x86_64/stable/last/archives/20190326/boot.tar.xz
You won't lose any of your data (roms, saves, settings etc.) by that.

Yes I know. I've done that before, but there's features in 5.24 that i'm already hooked too, and to go back to 5.21 would really suck.

Is there any way of resetting all the configs like its having a fresh start?

Do you really have no possibility to backup your data?
Because then you could do a fresh new install from scratch and copy back your data and you're good to go.

Oh thank goodness, I got it to work. I had a 64 GB flash drive that I installed 5.24 fresh (tested games on that and they worked)....so I then copied all the contents from "SYSTEM" to my computer, then loaded up my original hard drive with Batocera 5.24 that wasn't working. Used PUTTY to stop the emulation and copied the files to that drive, then started it back up and everything's working now.

Except NAOMI but I never really play those anyways.

I think it was the AI Game Translation option that caused it. I tried turning it on and it all started again. Turned it off and it fixed it.
