3DS touch screen citra

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this, so sorry if it's obvious. Some games on the 3DS have menus and options on the touch screen. The problem is that I have no idea how to get to those menus, since it's not a real 3DS with a touch screen. I assume it's something in the config file, but I have no idea what. I already tried the trackpad, but none of the buttons or the trackpad seem to do anything at all when a game is running.

Any help with this problem would be appreciated

When you use Libretro/Citra (change Emulator/Core in Game Settings, Advanced), then you can move the cursor on the lower screen with the right (second) analog-stick (if you are using a controller with 2 analog sticks) and button-press with R2 (or L2).

With standalone Citra (Emulator/Core = Citra) it is not possible yet, to move the cursor of the second screen.

is mouse supposed to work?
it doesnt for me on batocera 5.26

i’ve checked for touch_device=engine:emu_window in qt-config.ini.

Thank you. That worked for most of the games, but now there's a game that fades to black and then back to the batocera interface when you start it. Any idea how to fix that?

Edit: come to think of it, that game is the only game with a .cxi extension. Is that the problem? Can I fix it if it is, or can libretro not run .cxi ROMs?

hmm idk. i don't have any way to test it, so i guess i'm just stuck with it.

a bit unrelated, but do you by any chance know if you can install 3ds dlc's on batocera?

It makes some games literally impossible to play. I can’t even get past the registration screen in Majora’s Mask for example.

Hello !

Have you find a solution to the touch screen issue since the lasts updates ?

On one hand, we can’t choose the language on Libretro/Citra (I’m french and I would like play to Majora’s Mask in french) and on the other hand, we can’t use the touch screen on Citra.

The only solution for me is to play the original game but whitout 3DS’ beautiful graphics.

There is a way to change language on Libretro/Citra.

And there is also a way to use the touch screen in standalone Citra.
You either have to plug in (and use) a mouse or use the touch-panel of a PS4 controller. But you have to start standalone Citra from Applications (F1 in ES Menu). Otherwise the cursor is not visible and won’t work.
