hi i have pi 3 with batocera
im looking for device like this -

problom with this device that its support only retropie
and im not gonna leave batocera for retropie!
any solutions ?

There is a solution for Recalbox available so it should work in Batocera, too.

You could build your own Batocera Handheld with the following things:
- RPi3 (A+ or B+)
- Waveshare 5 inch HDMI Display
- Powerbank with 3.000 to 5.000mAh
- PS3 Controller with Smartphone-klip holder

I did this and it works great. It's a bit bulky, so not really "handheld"-like but it is way more performant than other cheap handheld retro consoles like bitboy or pocketgo or GPi case with Raspberry Pi Zero.

The only thing you have to do is to edit some lines in the config.txt on the root of the sd-card (i can give you more instructions, if you are interested or i can even provide my config.txt, if you want).

I was making something like this, based on the Freeplay GBA Kit. And can confirm that with the CM3 you can build a small and performance engine. The limitation are mostly on the side from the LCD screen, because the waveshare drivers are very slow because they permanently rewrite a full frame. So I integrated the ili9341 drisplay driver instead, and this driver just update the changed fields of the display. So you arrive to play even Quake on the CM3 with no lag.
My files and pictures where present on the Recalbox site, when this post puberty people wanted to get me away. So also my pictures disappeared there, logical. 🙂
You can still find the mod on my german site and see the work to transform a standard GBA shell into a Freeplay clone.

On the site of Freplay in the forum, you may find a version of Recalbox 4.1 (pre-puberty times) where I integrated the alternate modules.
Forget the Zero, CM3 is minimum for a working portable system.

I agree, that CM3 is one of the the best solution for a performant portable retro-gaming system (apart from mobile phones with snapdragon processors, but they are a bit more expensive and you are limited to emulators for android and can not use Batocera Linux on them. And you also have to use a dedicated Controller with a phone-klip or some teleskopic controller like the Saitake 7007x).

For me personally all the available solutions for CM3 (there are only two, that i know of: the Freeplay CM3 and the Retro CM3) are a bit too expensive. At least in my eyes.

If you want a cheap device (below 60-80 € / $) that can play everything up to GBA/SNES (and PS1 with some few exceptions), then i would buy a (new) PocketGo v2 or a RG350.
You can find plenty of information and reviews for those devices on youtube from ETA Prime, Taki Udon, Retro Dodo and others).
But with such a device you have to do without Batocera again.

Yes, also because of the import this solutions are a little expensive. By the way, no reason to buy a CM3+ as they limited the speed to the 1200mHz of the CM3 without +. And the rest on the board is for no advantage in our case. Most pheriperial connections exists but he port for SD card, USB and the bluetooth module must be on the additional board.
