WIFI is on, but the network is always disconnected, how can I solve this ??

are you sure you are on version 5.24?
i have no issues with wifi on my RPi3A+ with 5.24

i don't understand, what is your problem

I also have this issue (with 5.24 beta and same with 5.25 beta). I have the network connected via ethernet cable. Batocera shows disconnected but Kodi will show that it is connected. I just noticed this yesterday upgrading to 5.25 beta.

I'm running Odroid-H2

maybe the odroid-h2 version of batocera still points to the old web-address of batocera (https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/) which is not online anymore.
but that doesn't matter. you can just ignore the disconnected status message.
the network connection should still work as normal.

When I try to update the "scraper" covers or update the system, it does not update due to an ethernet problem

Did you update to 5.24 from a previous version or did you start with a clean install of 5.24?

i still don't get what your problem is.
does only scraping not work or completely not network connection?
at least ethernet should work, because otherwise a lot mor people would have reported it.
also i never had issues with ethernet-cable and even wifi works without issues on my RPi3 A+ (which has wifi only and no ethernet port)

When I try to update the system, download the covers, or try to do any action that uses the cable, I can't ... follow the message.

@tapcom There is a difference between internal network and the internet. Check your network setup (firewall, blocked ports...)

My network, port, firewall "FREE"...
It was working in previous versions, it stopped working in this last version

Today I did a test, installed RECALBOX, and THE STATUS of the NETWORK is "CONNECTED" ... Is there any file that I can change in BATOCERA to configure the NETWORK? I installed other versions of BATOCERA and ALL are with the network status "NOT CONNECTED"

Are you sure, that you are on Batocera 5.24?
Because this issue (you have an IP-Adress but "STATUS" says "NOT CONNECTED") should only appear on older versions of batocera, because they are pointing to the old web-adress (batocera-linux.xorhub.com) which is not online anymore and that's why it is saying "not connected".
Please download 5.24 from here:
https://batocera.org/upgrades/rpi3/stable/last/
Or the current beta of 5.25 from here:
https://batocera.org/upgrades/rpi3/beta/last/
and test again

I’ve downloaded a 16 GB image for PC.

Version: 5.25-dev 20202/02/14 01:03

System: Linux 5.4.16

I’m having this issue. WiFi works ok. Also cable. I connect and get IP from my router.

However, it says “Disconnected” and every time I try to download updates, it says (in Spanish) “SE NECESITA UNA CONEXIÓN DE RED” which means “You need a network connection”.

However, bezels and themes are downloading and installing OK.

I’ve been reading about that “older versions” are pointing to the wrong site.

My question is: which is the “right” site? And how can a I do to fix my current Batocera without having to manually download a newer or the last version and having to move everything to the new version? Is there any config file I could edit and manually write the correct destination?
