No sound via HDMI

Hello dear, I have a sound problem and I only get sound via the analog (jack) output but not via the HDMI output. I am shown 7 HDMI outputs in the bunging settings even if I only have 3 on the computer but there is no sound.

My graphics card is nvidia gt 1030 msi.

Hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

then try this:
Open kodi, then go to system settings, audio and test all available audio output devices within kodi.
if you found the output device that works (e.g. #HDMI0), then exit Kodi and choose the same #HDMI number in ES Menu, Audio Settings, output device.
You should then hear a "jingle"-sound and you can start an Emulator to test, if you then have audio output via HDMI.

Thank you for the help to set the sound in Kodi first and then in the ES it worked suddenly the sound was there.

Why this is the solution is not very clear to me, but it is not that important. Thank you again

I was having the same issue with my 3570k z77-ds3h and my 1030gt, so after troubling shooting the bios and controller looks like it wont take changes with just a simple restart of batocera. even after the kodi audio starting working it wasnt going back to ES. so i ended selecting the HD#0 at my audio and did a complete shutdown. and after it loaded back up it starting work. BUT odd thing is that my boot splash video wont load using the 1030gt only if i use intel HD igpu does the boot splash work. i never enabled the nvidia drivers as they were detected when i installed the video card on v31.
