No HDMI Audio detected with Atomic Pi Atom Z8350

I am currently trying to set up my atomic pi with Batocera, but am unable to get any HDMI audio. It only shows Auto/Custom in the audio options. When i list audio devices there are none available. I installed Lubuntu just to make sure it wasn't a fault with the board, but in Lubuntu HDMI audio works without issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Minix Neo z83-4w. Start Batocera from usb. The sound does not work. I connect it throuth Hdmi. The same thing happens to me. Just show the Auto/Custom options. The volume is always at zero.

Same exact issue Wispi, i tested with Windows 10 and Recalbox and both work perfect. Not sure what the issue is. I had someone in a facebook group tell me his worked out of the box.... but i'm not sure how much truth there is to that. Exact configuration there shouldn't be any difference.

ssh into Atomic Pi nano batocera.conf – comment out “audio.divice=auto” and add

audio.device=0,2 Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audi Audio [Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio]

Save and close Then

#nano /userdata/system/.asoundrc and make the file only state:

pcm.!default { type plug slave { pcm “hw:0,2” } }

ctl.!default { type hw card 0 }
