You can test the version before it is out.

the simplest is via ssh by running : batocera-upgrade https://batocera.org/upgrades/xx/stable/last/rc where xx is your architecture.

Please report regression only compared to the 5.24.

Hello, thank you. I need to test the rc2 version because I had several troubles with PS2 emulator and background music in main menu on AMD Ryzen 2200G

prog-amateur Hello all, after further testings :

PS2 games : all games work now.
Dreamcast games : each time I launch a game (Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, etc.), I have to setup the date/time. Then the games run at overspeed (like turbo mode). And I can't use my controller, only keyboard.
No specific issue identified on other consoles.
Batocera menu : Audio bug confirmed. When I use background music on console selection menu, everything works fine. However, when I go in a game selection menu (no matter from which console), audio cuts-off. If I scroll the games, the sound come-back during scrolling only. When I stop scrolling, the sound cuts-off again.

In any case, thank you again for your good job ! I hope sound issue will be confirmed and fixed.

First of all I want to thank the team of Batocera Linux for the excellent work they do and for making this 42-year-old old man happy to remember the times when the goldenaxe was spent with a coin (if I admit it was good in that game) when I was going to play the rooms after school.

I have tried the new version 5.25 rc2 on my rasberry pi 3B
and I have noticed this:

In Nintendo 64 there is no longer the RICE video plugin (it was the only one that worked the zelda majoras mask and the banjo tooei without graphic errors and at a good speed), in addition, the new plugin (N64 I think it is called) stops constantly in these games and run jumps (lots of frameskip?).

does this happen with both cores (reicast and flycast)?
could you list your hardware specs please? CPU/GPU and your controller

Missing VAAPI support for Kodi on the Odroid-H2 (x86_64 distro variant). It would be great if you could include / fix this functionality. Thank you

joinski Hello, about Dreamcast, I have used the default emulator (Auto), so I have to check with both to be sure and feedback to you. My setup is AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, this is an APU (with integrated graphics), and my controller is a Brook PS3/4 Fighting Board arcade controller (known by batocera, and all other emulators work well with it)

i have just tested with one of my setups (ASrock A300, AMD Athlon 3000G with AMD Vega 3 Graphics) and i do not have those issues with dreamcast (reicast).
I only had to set date/time once and my PS3 controller (original/genuine Sony Dual Shock 3) works without issues.
With libretro/flycast i did not have had to set the time/date.

joinski Thank you very much, I confirm that Libretro (Flycast core) does work well (normal speed and controller input is taken into account). And I do not need to setup date/hour every time, perfect !

Thanks for the RC2 :) I've installed it on a RPI 3B+.

On amigaCD32, I can't play games which worked on 5.24. Even when I open the emulator menu, and choose CD32 Workbench.

Kodi is included in this RC. But there is no Input stream adaptive file, and it's impossible to download it. It's strange because on a standalone Kodi Leia, it works: I can download it easily after installing Netflix addon, for example.

hello, in the pc 64 bit version, the gamecube emulator. the controller is not set correctly. d-pad settings below and on the right are missing, and the l-analog and r-analog shoulder buttons are not configured.
