Hi I have a couple of Xbox Controllers and the original Microsoft dongle. How can I use this with Batocera?

just connect the dongle, start batocera and then pair the controller this way:

i tried to pair but nothing happens.

efkay Hello. Wanted to know if this worked in 5.26. I’m not sure if this was ever answered or not. I also have a xbox one none bt controller. If the microsoft xbox wireless dongle works then I will go ahead and order one! I also wanted to know if this will work within the dolphin emulator as I’ve had gamepads work in other emus but not in dolphin running Batocera 5.26.

I tried some more but was not able to get this running. then I found a Bt dongle which got recognized in bluetoothctl so I tried to pair with manual method from wiki but when i try to pair the xbox one controller (yes, new version with up2date FW) it asks for a PIN i dont have so auth gets rejected. anyone?

Now with another dongle i was able to pair a dualshock 4 flawlessly. I also can pair xbox one controller but it still flahses like it is in pairing mode and i cant use it. what is that?

So I have 3 XBox One Controller. They all have the bluetooth button above. I tried all thre and one successfully connected with the 2nd bluetooth dongle UGREEN. how can I determine the difference between the 3 and figure out whats the problem?

and maybe you can find out, which version of Xbox One Controllers you have?

I only have a Xbox One S controller, which works without issues over bluetooth (with a very cheap bluetooth usb dongle i bought on amazon for a few bucks) with Batocera 5.25 beta

can i update my current batocera version to 5.25 by terminal or do i have to reflash the hdd? i will test next time and tell you the versions. just fyi: i have 3 xbox one controllers with bluetooth, all different FW versions, i tried all possibilitys to connect one of those with one DS4 to play mario kart with a friend on 2 evenings. they worked twice but I was trying to pair like 2 hours before. batocera says it is connected but it is not.

manual pairing by console works much better but when i have a xbox one controller and a DS4 running the button mapping changes and i.e. A button becomes RB or else. i obv remapped before and in batocera buttons work fine but when i went to ingame snes9x emulator had it all wrong.

only way i found is to buy a 2nd DS4. I will provide any info i can and i am willing to test further...

cjcummings Hi. The Dongle will be supported with the next Update (5.27). Up to that you can use your Controllers wired.

Woodhomer Ok thank you Woodhomer! I will go ahead and order the dongle for future use with Batocera on the x86/64 platform if that is the case. I thought I read that Microsoft would never release linux drivers for the wireless dongle but i didn’t know if that was a major dependency or not.

cjcummings Yeah it was the same for me. I bought it and realised afterwards that it’s not support… But i’ll keep it now for 5.27!
