New Install will not start

i had flashed a new sd card but the odroid will not boot up.
i used the newest version of batocera.

any known issues ?

What Odroid board? Check that you downloaded the right version for your board (we support Odroid Go Advance, N2, C2, XU4... but those are different builds).
Many boot problems like this also come from a low quality SD card. Try flashing a different one if possible.

yes it is an n2 and i used an high quality class 10 card

Did you use Etcher to copy the batocera image to the sd card?

Yes i did balena Etcher for mac.

i did. the Same for my xu4 and it works Fine

I have had issues to, im running petiboot, but it does not see the card or hangs the system.
If i flick the switch the other way it boots straight in, but i cant select between My core elec install or batocera.

Also another strange thing is no matter how many times i burn the image, on many different cards, it always says failed on verify, but seems to run.

Hello, Sorry to raise this topic again but was a solution found to this issue?
I have an odroid N2 and I downloaded the latest version of batocera for the n2. I also downloaded it twice from chrome and firefox in case it was a browser issue.
After the first fail i flashed 3 different class 10 sd cards on 2 different pcs using balenaEtcher.
The only boot option is NOLABEL, when it boots nothing happens, the hdmi channel on my tv idles as if nothing is plugged into it.

Any ideas how i can get this thing to work?

Hi, same here. I have tried burn the image with Android, Linux and Windows 10. In all of them only NOLABEL appears.
I will try to install an earlier version.

Yes, i have exactly the same problem! I use a N2-Plus 4GB and the batocera-5.26-odroidn2-20200526 image.😞
Hope any solutions comes soon

hello everyone i had this same issue and manage to resolve it. So there is a switch on the front of the n2 board. flick it to the right and it should boot up.

ok, i think you made just a joke m8 :-D really funny! The switch is on the right side for booting from sdcard! I found something out now! After batocera was balena-edged on sdcard and putted in my odroid n2plus i turned it on.
My screen stays black until i turned my n2 off. i checked the sdcard in my mac and see batocera was installed and partition was resized. ok, card back to n2 and turn on again and surprise surprise… screen is always black.
Why the screen is black? no menue nothing changes just black. Im clueless and hate it for real.
I hope my experience helps a bit maybe the devs?

I tried to install version 5.26, 5.25 and 5.24 and only recognize it as NOLABEL in petitboot, I tried it with 64 and 32gb Sandisk cards, all class 10. To test the cards I installed CoreElec without problems. Any tips? I tried the beta version of 5.27 too. Black screen at boot and stoped.

****** I installed version 5.24 on the card and when I put it on odroid n2 on the black screen, which had been left from the attempt to boot version 5.25, he already recognized and started it!
