Hi,

This is the last days before 5.25 official release date.
You can test the version before it is out.
batocera.linux 5.25 rc5 is here.

fix since rc5:
various technical bugs (see https://github.com/batocera-linux/batocera.linux/commits/5.25_fixes for details)
including bluetooth, gpio, odroidgoa rotation, ...

the simplest is via ssh by running : batocera-upgrade https://batocera.org/upgrades/xx/stable/last/rc where xx is your architecture.

Please report regression only compared to the 5.24.

nadenislamarre run-a-head not working on a rasp-pi3 using the menus.

nadenislamarre In the batocera.conf I tried

nes.run_ahead_enabled = "true"
and
nes.enabled=1
or
nes.runaheadenabled=1

and still can't get it to stick by using the menus

Now testing the rc5 on a system (pc x86-64) which is allready running Batocera 5.24
I booted up from the usb stick, the emulators and games show up.
So far i have no sound, the controller doesn't work.
If i go to Files, the mouse doesn't work.
I will now detach the ssd which holds 5.24, see if that makes a difference.

Now, with the ssd disconnected it works better.
Controller and sound works, as does the mouse.
Probably it didn't like having the ssd with 5.24 connected.
Now testing some games, i'll call in later.

I've tested as far es I can the Rc 5. Still I can't change the Resolution on Wii or Gamecube. At first I tried at ES and when this doesn't work I changed directly at Dolphin. It doesn't work for me, but maybe I am to stupid. At 5.24 it worked perfectly. The second Thing I've tried is to play 3ds. It doesent work because my Joypad has no effect. But it worked at any other System. It is a original 360 Controller. I hope my feedback helps a little bit.

Same for me since 5.25 rc 3 (i can’t change resolution, parameters always reset when i launch a game)
the problem is also present on the Kronos saturn emulator

I have a problem with dreamcast.
Reicast emulator is (way) too fast and has no sound.
Libretro/flycast has the right speed, but not all games work.

Testing 5.25 rc5 WiFi, it works but, the list shows blank lines between entries, it could be 1, 2 or more, it would be nice the discovery gets rid of them.

The PC98 emulator np2kai was working perfectly on the last stable build of odroidgoa-20200205 but no longer works on the recent beta and rc builds.

Also it would be nice if someone could make a correction on the logo and background image of the FDS system in the default theme. (it is currently using the same images of the famicom system, missing the disk drive.)

A small feature request: Please add an option to allow swapping OK/Cancel only in the emulationstation menu. because all nintendo consoles and asian playstations users are used to this button setup for years, its pretty hard for us to change.

Upgrade 5.23 to 5.25 RC5 work but must turn on automatic updates. 🙃
Now I will upgrade 5.25 RC4 to RC5 and make more testings about usb adaptors

ps2 to usb
ps2 to 360
snes/nes/genesis/n64 to wii
*nes to wii work on rpi3 b on 5.24

What would you like me to test?
I'm doing some silly tests like going out and going back to the core several times, changing cores all the time to see if there is a change in resolution. I have raspberry pi 3b and 3b + and I'm testing them with them.

Today I have tested the final 5.25 and I've got still some Problems. Still can't change the Resolution on Wii or Gamecube. I've tried it in ES and directly in Dolphin. It stays at native. My Controller are not working in 3ds emulation. I've tried stand alone Citra and and Libreretro with the Cita Core. I can't get them to run. In every other Emulator they are working. I think I am downgrading to 5.24 where both things work perfectly. Maybe i am doing something very wrong.

Lewi try to change resolution. then open the game and as soon as it goes back to native press alt+f3 to see the error / log. take it from there ;-)
