I got the 8bitdo SF30 wireless. Nice controller. I am using belkin dongle on 64bit 5.24 legacy. Apart from the need to pair every single time the system starts it works well. I also hope that this is fixed in 5.25 :) My problem is with Dreamcast mainly. I cannot get it to work at all on that system. Oddly enough a lot cheaper "iNNEXT USB Gamepad Retro Snes Classic USB" works - with some clear limitations due to lack of buttons. PS3 dual shock original controller works fine as well. Does anyone know if this is a known problem with 8bitdo SF30 or I am doing something wrong? Thank you all for your input however insignificant and appreciate your help.

You power on your system
You connect your controller by setting it in pairing mode
You can disconnet and reconnect by just power on on the controller
you power off your system or do a reboot
You can not reconnect by just powering on, need to set the controller back again in pairing mode?

Is this correct?

@BZZ Why don't you try latest RC5 version?
I assume (and hope) it's the last one means it is the final version ;)

As long as people don't test RCs the errors remains and are fixed in 5.26 that will be released maybe in June/July/August.

As long as you do no test on your own with RC noone can answer that your issue is fixed. There was a lot done during the releases also for BT and DreamCast but it would help if users would report back.

yep [deleted] is right, stand the final 5.25 next week and use it, all is fixed now.

[deleted] Darknior I am not sure you get it -> I cannot run dreamcast at all on 5.25 cause I am using legacy. This would not help test it cause dreamcast would not even start..... I do not want to know if the connectivity issue is fixed or if the controller works in 5.25. My question relates to 5.24 legacy.

@BZZ Yes understood. Legacy is build later after release.
But your GPU will also run on the current builds (not with best performance but will be okay for tests) and so it's still up to you to test the RC5 (with a seperate SDCard) and write your comments. Because If there is an issue in 5.25 (then it's on 5.25-legacy, too) and then it will be fixed in 5.26 and maybe much much much later the 5.26-legacy will come out. So feel free to test.

@[deleted] Not sure why you came into the conversation with no useful information ? My question was simple. Is it me or is it the system? Expected input from other SF30 or 8bitdo in general users. Not a rant about getting 5.25 RC5 and testing it there. You are the reason I do not participate in the forum anymore. Your input in some topics is pointless. I get you sometimes bring useful things to the table but in this case I see no need for furthering your demands for me to move to another version and not giving any information on the actual challenge. You are killing topics that could help other people in the future. And no telling me to test it in the new version is not helping....

This has been taken off topic and derailed. Please kindly stop commenting on topics you have no interesting input to add. If there is something that relates to question asked by all means join in but don't go to discussions and add your "words of wisdom" That have nothing to do with the request. People often start with forum and then go googling or the other way around. There are many requests with no answers.
