PS3 USB Controller (Original and/or None) dont'work - batocera 5.6

Hi All, i'm new with batocera but i'm old to Recalbox. I'm trying to use your OS on ODROID XU4 with
batocera 5.6 2017/04/19 and my USB (only) PS3 controllers (Orginals and None) but without success, any suggestions? Thanks a lot!!!

@Devil78 welcome.
on my xu4, i know that all usb port won't work, i don't know why.
if you know how to access ssh,can you :
type dmesg, read the last line. plug a usb pad, type dmesg and see if the last lines displays that a new usb is plugged. try the different usb ports.
If you get nothing or don't know how to do, can you send me a report (from menu, system, create a report file, it is generated in the saves directory)

Thanks for the answer! I tried the suggested command sequence even before I wrote here. Joypads were detected in both cases by the "dmesg" command.

However, I managed to solve the problem by doing the following:

1) From Frontend press F4
2) sudo killall emulationstation
3) emulationstation

At the restart of the Forntend, the PS3 controller automatically worked. However, I noticed that when I restarted the system I had to repeat the command sequence above.

Then, from step 3, I continue like this:

4) Press START
5) Configure Input
6) Pressing any key on the controller, the same, was detected
7) I continue to configure the individual keys
8) Reboot

Everything works now !!!!

Having same issues here with the Odroid-C2 but I can't get it to work. I've logged on to the web interface and checked the configuration to try a couple different PS3 controller driver settings but with no luck.

Anyone else have any luck?

for the odroid c2, it is know that usb has trouble (at least on batocera). i've some messages in the linux kernel that seem to indicate that i've not enough voltage on the usb. i'll try to update the c2 kernel too see. (it's in my todo list)

If it is any help, I have tried to run the PS3 controller through a powered USB hub as well so the controller doesn't steal any power away from the Odroid-C2.

I have just realized you have beta version available for odroid-c2. I will give that a try and let you know how I go with it. Thanks for your work!

On a side note, would it be possible to document your procedure for compiling for the odroid-c2, at least within buildroot menuconfig. I have attempted to do it myself through buildroot but struggle to know all that is required. I know you are really busy with this project so I'll understand if you don't have time. Thanks again

please check the wiki for the procedure.
you don't need to go in the buildroot menu.
make batocera-odroidc2 includes all the buildroot config required.

Does anyone have a sollution about the PS3 controller for Odroid C2?

I have 2 PS3 joysticks, but it doesn't work using usb cable or bluetooth adapter...

I'm thinking sell my board, because I bought it thinking this program would run better than in Raspberry, but I can't use my ps3 joysticks unfortunatelly.
