Daphne - Video Artifacts to sides of screen

First... Many thanks for Daphne. One of my favorite emulators. I've upgrade to 5.25 on my x86 running 16 x 9 with an AMD video card. Good news is that ROMS work pretty well. Do wish that there were more options for it. Probably are but not sure where or what I'd change in an ini.

The problem though. To the left and right side of the game window I get some pretty gnarly video garbage. it is distracting for sure. If an overlay could be placed it might make that no longer visible but don't know if it is possible. Could be a video chipset issue since it isn't NVIDIA which I am more familair with but there are so many options with low profile cards. Does anyone else experience and if a fix/workaround is available?

For a simple solution to my initial finding I have been able to get rid of the garbage on the left and right side of the screen by changing the Game Settings/per system advanced configuration/daphne/Game ration to 16/9. This of course stretches the whole screen to my 16x9 screen. Not my preference as I'd like it in original 4x3 but I'll deal better with this than the distraction on the sides on 4x3. Hopefully a improvement will be made here.

Dapne is only introduced in 5.25 so at a minimum you have to be upgraded to this. If you are in your share/roms folder you will have a new folder called Daphne. You need to put your files in there. The structure is the media files in its own folder i.e. (lair.daphne). Yes it will have an extension. There will also have to be a folder in the DAPHNE folder called roms. These are zip files that go in there and will have the same name as the media folders we just spoke of. This is the structure. However you may have problems and won't start because your files came from a different source and the parsing files were done under another system or device. (possible). In this case it would be safe and beneficial to remove the "dat" files from the media folders and let Daphne create its own for batocera. It creates them once and after than you'll be good to go.
