Normal Colors at the emulationstation but washed up colors in games over hdmi

I have a laptop. its model is hp 250 g7. Colors are normal at the emulationstation but when i launch a game colors are washed up on both internal lcd and also connected to my tv via onboard hdmi. I use the latest version.

I also tried the latest version on my desktop pc which connected to the monitor via display port and everything was fine colors were normal both at emulationstation and in game. Any idea why when i use hdmi on my laptop colors are washed up in game but not in emulationstation?

disable decoration or select DEFAULT_UNGLAZED (under Game Settings, Decoration)

joinski Thank you! It worked. I was also thinking about the overlay decoration but since in-game colors were fine over display port i didn't try it.
