I've done what you advise, and it works perfectly
so if you want to have your game in 1080p you just have to add with dolphin emulator :
[Video_Settings]
InternalResolution = 3
to get dolphin, you have to have a mouse and a keyboard plug to your PC,
on the main screen of batocera, press F1
then applications, launch Dolphin
Go to dolphin emulator--->Config--->Path, enter the locations where are the iso/roms.
Right-click on a game --->Properties --->Game config --->Editor, and then you will see your *.ini file corresponding of the game. (the second one)
add those 2 lines
[Video_Settings]
InternalResolution = 3
and now you will have this game display at 1080p everytime,
