Configuration not saving. upgrade from v5.24 to v5.25

I'm not sure if I have this issue before on v5.24 but I'm currently runnning v5.25
when I save my setting (core over ride and or directory override) the setting is loss after I shut down the system.
some of the systems I tested are PSX, NDS, N64, Dreamcast maybe other too potentially. (using default emjulators)

After I shutdown/restarted.
when I goto the system and try to start a game it would quit like it didn't load properly. then I try loading it again. it would start up fine but I lose my OPTION configurations.

so I'm looking at the error log and config file and it seems like Nintendo DS is the culprit.

AFter your restart your system and run NDS game it over writes your core OPTIONS file with some default one so you lose your core OPTION settings.
Any idea why it is doing that?

hmm more to this mystery. it seems like if I open up a new emulator (I am playing PSX and made my options and save it)

and I switch to Dreamcast and made its option and go back to another emulator with custom opptions. the "/userdata/system/configs/retroarch/cores/retroarch-core-options.cfg" would be reset and only contain options to the emulator.

I can tell when the core options config file is reset when the game that I know works. I try to run it and it kicks me back out to the ES menu. when I try to run it agaain it would load/run properly but I lose my options config for that emulator/core

Ok found a way to fix it.

FIX ISSUE: Fix for all emulators/clors (global fix)

1 - WINSCP to the device and goto the directory: /userdata/system/configs/retroarch/

2 - Edit this file: retroarchcustom.cfg
Look for the line that says: global_core_options = "true"

3 - Change the "true" to "false"

4 - Restart your system.

FIX ISSUE: single emulator/core

1 - load up a game for the emulator
2 - goto the retroarch setting -> configuration ->
3 - where it say "Use Global Core Options File" set it to off.

i can’t find this folder in my batocera 5.25 if try to go to the folder for the global fix there is no such file as retroarchcustom.cfg
