Change Hardware / What Hardware for ps1/ps2

Hi,
im using batocera 5.25 on my AsRock ION 330 with Atom 330 CPU und nVidia ION GPU. Now im thinking about a change to AsRock Q1900 with Quad-Core J1900 CPU and Intel HD GPU (Gen 7).
Would that boost the system?
Whats more important? CPU or GPU?

And what hardware would be needed to play ps1/ps2-games?

Yes it would.

Both is important, but the most important is Single-Thread Performance of the CPU.

And what hardware would be needed to play ps1/ps2-games?

For PS1 even an older CPU like Intel Sandy Bridge generation with Intel HD Graphics 2500 should be totally fine.
For PS2 you need a more beefy CPU with a Single-Thread Performance of at least 1.800 (the more the better) and a GPU with at least 2.000 G3D Marks.
