Hello all. I installed batocera.linux 5.25 to a 64GB USB in order to plug into a PC (ideally I'd want to put batocera on its own dedicated machine but I was just testing it out for the time being.) I tried it on two PCs: on one it seems to be working fine, but on the other (far more powerful) machine I'm getting the following happen:
- The Batocera startup logo appears as normal.
- Logo then mostly disappears. I can still see the bottom of the logo, above it is now just black. There's a couple of pink & green strips running along the very top edge of the screen.
- I can hear the background music through the speakers, and if I try pressing buttons on my keyboard as if I were navigating through the menu the sounds will change.
So basically as far as I can tell Batocera IS running and gets to the main menu, but for some reason I just can't see it. It's as if the screen shows black and freezes up in this state. The afore-mentioned bottom of the startup logo is still visible throughout all of this. Like I said on the other older PC it all started up fine with no apparent issues, but this isn't the one I would want to test it on.
Basic specs for both machines are below (just ask if you need any more info.) Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.
Newer machine where I have the issue:
Intel Core i9 9900k 3.6Ghz
GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (tried both DisplayPort & HDMI inputs, no difference.)
32GB DDR4 RAM 3000Mhz
Older machine where it's displaying fine:
Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4Ghz
Integrated Intel HD Graphics (honestly don't know any more than this.)
8GB RAM
